National English School, established in 2000 at VIP Road, Baguiati, is a co-educational institution affiliated to the Council for I.S.C.E., New Delhi. Founded by renowned philanthropist Sudhir Kumar Saha, NES prepares its students to embark on a journey of academic and personal excellence. Our innovative curriculum offers a practical and application-based learning approach that fosters critical thinking, problem solving and creative ability, while promoting an all-round progress through a rich and diverse co-curricular programme covering sports, music, art, literary, social and cultural activities essential to the holistic development of the child.

The school has a strong track record in academics which is reflected in its outstanding board results. This year our Class XII topper Ritwika Hazra scored 99.0% and secured 2nd Rank in State and 4th Rank in India in ISC 2016. Our Class X topper Aditi Jhunjhunwala scored 98.4% and secured 4th Rank in State in ICSE 2016. All our students have scored above 60% with a class average of 83% in ISC and 86% in ICSE. These impressive results are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our highly-experienced faculty who are committed to ensuring that each and every student at NES excels, and leaves the school as motivated, responsible and confident young adults, not afraid to chase their dreams.

At the heart of our success is our constant endeavour to make learning interesting, enjoyable and stimulating. NES has been pioneering innovative teaching techniques, using audio-visual aids and live working models, to demonstrate various concepts and their applications, with a strong emphasis on interactive learning to make sure that every student is fully engaged with their lessons, and is working to the best of their abilities. The School has introduced digital classes termed "SMART CLASS" where the audio-visual content is displayed on a huge wall mounted Touch Screen Interactive Display System linked to the school’s server. The software package includes specially tailored class-wise and subject-wise programmes for the students, which boosts them to go beyond conventional teaching through text books and makes the subject matter much more attractive.

Everybody knows the story of the rabbit and the tortoise. They had a race and being over confident, the rabbit fell asleep in the mid-way so the tortoise won. However, the story does not end there. The rabbit insisted on another race and this time the rabbit won easily. Then the tortoise set up a new race. He led the rabbit to a pond and they started a race. This time the tortoise swam to victory. Then they had a discussion. If both of them together set up a race, nobody can defeat them, in the pond the rabbit will be on top of the tortoise and on the land the tortoise will be on the top of the rabbit.

In this era, slow but steady does not win the race. We have to take the opportunity of modern technology to be fast enough as well as skilled to be successful.

Parents must submit a fully completed application form and submit the supporting documents requested by the school.

Upon submission of the duly filled application form a baseline survey of the child is conducted at the school.

Once the admission steps are satisfactorily completed parents will receive an admission offer and may pay the applicable fees to confirm admission.
