Admission Info

Admission forms are generally distributed within 10 days from the declaration of results of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the W.B. Board of Higher Secondary Education.

Candidates have to apply in prescribed forms for Admission/ enrollment to Honours and General separately. Cost of Admission/Enrollment From for any course is Rs. 50/-

A candidate must fill in the Admission /Enrollment From properly and get it signed by his/her father or guardian. The Admission Form duly filled in, must accompany attested copies of mark sheets and certificates of previous examinations passed. Scheduled Cast/Schedule Tribe/Physically Handicapped/Extra ordinary sports students should submit attested copies of relevant certificate (s). Admission forms are to be submitted to the college during office hours within the stipulated time. Admission will be strictly on the basis of merit. Merit list will be prepared uniformly on the basis of the following criteria : 1. In case of Honours Courses : Aggregate : (Aggregate means the sum of marks of best scored five subject) plus the marks obtained in the subject in which he/she intends to take up Honours or related subject. However, students who avail themselves of the rule 3 (III) will not get the benefit of related subject : 2. In case of General Courses : Merit list will be prepared on the basis of aggregate : (Aggregate means the sum of marks of best scored five subject). For admission to Honours courses complete list of all applicants according to merit to be published at the first instance and admission be done preferably through counseling in accordance with the intake capacity. For all courses, 22% seats are reserved for S.C., 6% for S.T. and 3% seats are reserved for Physically Handicapped candidates and one seat is reserved in each Honours subject (s) under sports quota. All the admission are Provisional and liable to be rejected on reasons. The candidate must be present in person at the time of admission. For sports quota, claimants have to apply in specific form with valid attested documents.
