The first brick was laid down by Founding Father S.D Rai & honorable union minister Sri Asok kr. sen,Govt. of INDIA in 1986. It was first ever venture of Indira Gandhi Memorial Group of School Management. The founding father late Sri Shyam Deo Rai started operating modestly from a handful of rooms located at gate No. 1 Airport with students and staff members. The dream and determination of the management soon ensured that the school grew by leaps and bounds. The school had added two new wings; the Pre-primary and the middle wing. It is a co-edu English medium school affiliated to CBSE New Delhi. Today the school has strength of 2100 students, more then 98 teacher's and around 30 Support staff members.

 MISSION: - The mission of school to provide sincere and incessant endeavour for the students towards making them good human being, responsible and dutiful citizen of the nation, blended with fervor and flavor of nationalism and patriotism

It is also a matter of great pride for me to be a part of the IGMHS educational system, which has helped to mould the lives of thousands of children across the globe. Education, at IGMHS - Kolkata, would not just be confined to accumulation of knowledge. Knowledge at IGMHS - Kolkata, would be supplemented by direction. And direction, would be provided by select ambassadors of education, who can make a positive difference in moulding young minds towards achieving global goals. It would be our sincere effort to make IGMHS -Kolkata, a landmark in the field of education in the country in general, and WEST BENGAL in particular. I express my gratitude to all those who have helped us and extend my best wishes to the parents and children who are likely to be the integral part of IGMHS in the years to come.

Admission Info

1. All informations regarding admission to classes L. N. upwards shall be notified on the school notice board.
2. Admission Forms will be distributed subject to availability of vacancy in the class.
3. Guardian should fill in the Admission Form, issued, with atmost accuracy. No subsequent changes will be permitted for any reason whatsoever.
4. The candidates will be tested in the standard immediately below that to which they seek admission. The selection for admission shall be made entirely on the results of these tests and subsequent interviews and on no other distinction.
5. The decision of the School authority regarding selection of a Candidate for admission is final and binding.
6. Registration of names for admission in higher classes is done at the beginning of the session, if vacancies exist. ? Admission list will be notified on the fixed dates only.
7. The following certificate and testimonials must be produced at the time of admission.
a) Birth Certificates (Baptism Certificate in case of Christians) b) Doctor Certificate of Physical Fitness. c) Three copies of recent Pass-Port Size Photographs. d) Transfer Certificates in case of transfer from other school.
