In 1968 some young men organized ‘Saraswati Puja’ and at the same time some students of different schools and collages of that locality established the ‘Yuktasangha’ organization. At the beginning, the organization started its work in different strata of the society like education, cultural activities, social work, practicing literature ,extra curricular activities and establishing library was part of their activities . With the help of many students and local people including Sri Dinesh Chandra Saha who were very much interested to establish a library for the local people donations and books were collected to create a book bank’ was named ‘Yukta Sangha’. The library was recognized as a ‘ Yukta Sangha Primary Unit Library’ in 1983 and was sponsored as ‘Yukta Sangha Town Library’ in 1987.
