The progress of a Nation depends on its population being well-educated in diverse fields capable of accepting the challenges of the modern world. In order to cope with such a situation the role of educational institutions is very much important. The present age of stiff competition needs an overall development of science of technology in addition to other fields of subject.

Establishment of "Tamralipta Institute of Management & Technology" (TIMT) in 2007 by NHK Welfare Foundation under the able leadership of Late Haji Sk. Kazim Ali in a meager attempt in that direction.

The main aim of the institution is to produce an army of civilized & well trained pupils in the field of Science, Technology & Management who shall strengthen the country by their dedicated services to the Nation.

Since its inception the Institute has been catering the Honours course at Degree level namely Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA-H) , Bachelor of Business Management (BBA-H), B.Sc.(H) in i) Microbiology ii) Bio-Technology. Another popular Course like BBA in Hospital Management is going to be introducing from the next academic session on getting Affiliation from the University that is West Bengal Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (WBMAKAUT).

For development of Science and Technology including all other classic and emerging subjects Research work is the need of the hour.

I hope the successful youths completing Post Graduate level education will engage themselves in Research and Development works.
