Matiaburj College was established in 2008 by the initiative of some local, highly enthusiastic people of different sectors with a view to impart education and knowledge to the young generation of the locality. Initially the college started functioning at Matiaburj High School, a very renowned school of this area and the classes were held in the evening in school premises. Within a period of one and a half year, new building of the college was constructed.

Great endeavour of former Teacher-In-Charge along with the constant encouragement of the Governing Body members and assistance from other faculty members as well as Non teaching staff, the college attained the position as one of the most promising academic institution in the locality. In 2010, Advanced Courses in Urdu and Political Science and General Course in Hindi were introduced. As Urdu and Hindi are of immense demand in this area, commencement of these two subjects in the Degree Course was proved to be very relevant. Our next mission is to start B. Sc and B. Com courses for which we have to extend our building and other insfratuctural facilities. All present members of the Governing Body and other eminent persons of the locality, have extended their hands of cooperation to make this college a leading Degree College of this State. For the convenience of the students the college is equipped to it CCTV facilities, Generator Services and constant supply of Purified water etc.

Lastly I should mention that I am very lucky to be the founder Principal of this college (Joined on 07.07.2015). There are many miles to travel before we reach our goal and achieve our mission. The college is ornamented with a bunch of young, enthusiastic, hard working and extremely qualified teachers and very sincere non teaching staff . My earnest desire is to make Matiaburj College a very happy family where all the members be very well communicated and cooperative among each other. Flowers of fame and success will bloom from the tree of this happy college in very near future.
