P.O. & P.S.: Gangarampur, Dist: Dakshin Dinajpur, W.B.-733124
Gangarampur College established in 1981 Gangarampur, Dakshin Dinajpur, as a Co-educational institute of learning with the objection of expanding the scope of higher education to all (specially girl students) in one of the remotest district of West Bengal. The college has moved forth to achieve the desired fruition of its goals in the following year. Lapped easily on the bank of the river Punarbhaba and build on the remains of the dynastic structure of the Legenday king Vana, the college is part of a long heritage of Indian Culture of yore.
The motto of this institution is “Dare to know, dare to be wise” and this encapsulates the vision of this institution. Located in one of the remotest corners in West Bengal, this institute strives to incultate this urge to dare, to be wise and that is through knowledge. For the several first generation and second generation learners in this district of Dakshin Dinajpur, this College is a steady beacon and has been the cornerstone of local aspiration to rise above the humdrum. We, in this institution, nurture this ambience of knowledge and believe that through its dissemination we fulfil our social responsibility in creating well informed and responsible individuals who will become the pillars of our democratic society and polity and lead us towards progress.
