Thank you for showing your interest in Bankura Unnayani Institute of Engineering. We are one of the oldest self-financed engineering institutes of the state, approved by AICTE and affiliated to WBUT. We are also ISO certified and presently powered by the Technical Education Quality Improvement Program (TEQIP) Phase II, a MHRD approved World Bank Project.

With our outstanding facilities and strong student focus, we are rapidly becoming one of the most desirable institutes of the state of West Bengal. Our vision is to become a world class Engineering Institute and everything we do is directed towards that goal.

The Institute has grown significantly during the last 15 years and now has a diverse range of engineering disciplines that include graduate courses Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer science and engineering, Electronics and communication engineering, Electronics and instrumentation engineering and Information technology. We also offer postgraduate courses in Computer science and engineering and Electronics and communication engineering. Significant investment through TEQIP in new facilities is making us best suited to successfully meet the ever-changing requirements of industry – nationally and internationally. We care that our students develop the skills in their field along with expertise in professional practices, viz. problem solving, communications, research techniques, management and IT proficiency.

BUIE has a lush green campus, just outside the District town of Bankura, a district with a rich cultural and traditional heritage. The campus hosts thousands of migratory birds every year. We also have a separate Hostel campus with separate hostels for boys and girls, along with staff quarters.
