We started our journey in 2003. A publication on post-revolutionary China in Bengali was our first venture. We moved from pillar to post have a space on the shelves of bookshops in College Street. Now, after thirteen years we have created our niche readers who wait for our books and buy the same. The appreciations encourage us and criticisms force us to be more creative in content and production.

We publish academic text , reference books and books on current affairs. History, political science, gender , tribal studies, environment, mass communication and interdisciplinary subjects are our main area of interest. A book review journal namely Bitarkika is published by our house since 2013. It is a theme-based journal being edited by Avro Ghosh

We try to make our presence felt all over India and also across the globe. We participate in all the major book fairs in West Bengal and also in states like Assam and Tripura. Our participation in World Book fair in Delhi helps us to meet readers, authors and distributors of India as well of World. Our participation in London Book fair in 2014 and Abu Dhabi book fair in 2015 was a new experience to reckon with. Our deliberations in International Conference on Challenges and prospects of Book Publishing in Asian Countries organized by FICCI and Dhaka Chamber of commerce and Industries was an in September 2014 opened up a new vision for us.

We are now operating from Kolkata and Delhi.We are members of Bangiyo Prokashok and Bikreta Sobha and Delhi State Book Publishers’ and sellers’ Association in Delhi. These are the renowned associations of India.
